Challenge – A US defense contractor contacted CTL to ship a 70-ton radar unit from the Midwest to a remote location in Japan. This was an urgent request requiring immediate attention.
CTL Solution – CTL has experience moving large equipment. Although this was a complex shipment that required road permits, cranes, and riggers at both origin and destination, CTL has the reliable agents and processes in place to execute this type of shipment quickly. Transport was accomplished on a chartered Antonov 124 aircraft. CTL worked proactively with the customer and local authorities at both origin and destination to work within restrictions to ensure a timely delivery.
